when I began to dabble with End of the line. . . . I have always been, a techie. Never fiddled with cars, didn't take things apart - but have always been tuned in to the benefits of advanced technologies. Have always felt driven to 'find better ways' of doing things. So, since 1985 I have dabbled with the internet....have experimented with Photoshop - have designed and built web-sites • have mastered numerous tech softwares - and have, also, given up to a large degree on all of it. But I never abandoned it - took a step back - and I think that should be a mandatory business principle....all executives and decision-makers should, once a year, suspend their normal operating practices....stand back, look backwards - look sideways - and then, search ahead.
Thus I have come, finally, to my final resting place, technologically. My very first web-site in 1999 was www.michaelxmoore.com.
Why?
Because only the week prior, Michael Moore (Director) registered www.michaelmoore.com.....my 'screw you' response was to buy the domain, www.michaelXmoore.com. The 'X' became a part of my design signature.....www.MXMgraphicA.com came next, then www.MXMdesignGroup.com...I had, for a brief period, a dedicated photography site, www.ImageOut.net. But here, now, from this pinnacle, I have come to realize that it makes far more sense to have one roof, one address.....and so, www.MichaelMoore.Studio was born
And so you will see, in the masthead, tabs for MXMdesignGroup, MXMgraphicA, and michaelXmoore.com. Each is its own house...a domain within a domain.
MXMdesignGroup will contain images, credits and stories about my life and career as a professional interior designer. Until last year I was an active member of ASID [American Society of Interior Designers] - member for 32 years. And I served on the Board, acted on committees - spent huge time in volunteering - all to advance the recognition of the value of design in our society.
MXMgraphica contains a wide range of graphic design undertakings and assignments. I am proud to have been a member of ICOGRADA and proud of my work in graphics as a Certified Graphic Designer.......
Finalement, I have been writing/publishing a DesignBlog for four years now - www.DesignReviewInternational.com.
